Carson Wentz suffered a possible head injury during the first half of Sunday’s game against the Seattle Seahawks, and the Philadelphia Eagles quarterback was forced to leave the field for concussion testing. Wentz left the game after taking a hard helmet-to-helmet hit from Seahawks defensive end Jadeveon Clowney as he was going to the ground. He was first examined by a concussion specialist in the blue medical tent before being taken to the locker room. Players can be cleared in the concussion protocol by a specialist in the blue medical tent on the sideline, so it is significant that Wentz had to go to the locker room. That likely means he did not pass the initial test. Josh McCown entered the game in place of Wentz.
